"The remains of Mrs. Ann Hines, relict of the late Gustavus Hines, arrived in the city yesterday forenoon, on the ten o'clock train, from Portland, and were taken to the Methodist Church, to await the arrival of the deceased's sister, who came to the city by the afternoon train from the south. The funeral took place from the church at two o'clock, attended by a large number of those who knew her in life. She was buried in the Lee Mission Cemetery; near the Orphan's Home, where her husband lies entombed. Mrs. Hines departed this life at Goldendale, W.T., on the 19th of this month, after a protracted illness of over a year. Her disease was lingering consumption. She leaves behind her an only daughter." DOS Mar 24, 1875 3:1

Per Charlott Jones:
Ann Johnson Hines was the #2 wife of Rev. Gustavus Hines. She had one daughter, named Gussie, who ended up residing with and old pioneer family, the Hicemboths in Columbus, now Maryhill Washington. Little Gussie died of diptheria in 1880 and is buried in the Maryhill/Columbus Community Cemetery in Maryhill, Washington
