Alvin B. "Jack" Chamberlain, 84, of Big Lake, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005, in the Reagan County Care Center. He was born January 6, 1921, in McCulloch County. Jack married Elnora Miller in February 1943. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He moved to Big Lake in 1948, where he began his life-long career in the oil patch. He was a member of the Big Lake Church of Christ.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Elnora. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Margaret Miller Chamberlain, five brothers and one sister.

Jack is survived by his daughter Ann and husband Wayne Herrmann of Ballinger, grandchildren Jaye and Pat Herrmann of Longview, Texas, and Laura and Rodney Buxkemper of Ballinger, one great-grandson, James Wesley "Jack" Buxkemper of Ballinger. He is also survived by his sister Henrietta Shumate of Ballinger, many nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends.

Jack will be in state at Johnson's Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 19, 2005 at Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County at 2:00 PM, with J.B. Bitner officiating.
