At a wedding ceremony performed by Rev. Theo. Rohner at St. Peter's church at seven o'clock Saturday morning, February 6th, Miss Lydia Belle Starks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Asa Starks of Waupun, became the bride of Clarence [sic - Clement] Ptaschinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ptaschinski.
The bride wore a frock of aqua marine crepe with gray hat and accessories. Miss Illick of Mayville, the maid of honor, wore a frock of royal blue crepe, and the bridesmaid, Miss Mildred Durant of Waupun, wore navy blue crepe with black accessories. The bride's bouquet was of pink roses, while the bouquets of her attendants were of daffodils. Linford Dinkel was best man and Alfred Bushkie was the groom's other attendant. Nuptial music was played by William Ptaschinski on the organ.
After the ceremony a luncheon was served to twenty guests at the home of the bride's parents, the rooms of which were decorated in a blue and white color scheme, while a blue and white cake surmounted by a miniature bride and groom served as a centerpiece for the table. A wedding breakfast was served to the wedding party.
Following a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Ptaschinski are making their home in this city, the groom being an employee of the Malleable Iron Range company. Out-of-town guests at the wedding included Mrs. O. L. Litscher, Lorraine and Adelbert Litscher of Fox Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Asa Starks, Midred Durant, Gertrude Pluim of Waupun and Miss Rose Illick of Mayville.
[According to her death certificate, Lydia lived at 144 Judson Dr., Beaver Dam at the time of her death, which occurred at 12:10 a.m., and was due to a complication of ailments including diabetes, AS, hypertensive congestive heart failure, renal failure and more, according to Dr. Charles Frinak; informant was Joann Garczynski, 148 Judson Drive.]
