John Bearden was the son of Francis and Sarah Blassingame Bearden of Virginia. He was married to Lettice Caty Winn, daughter of Minor and Margaret O'Conner Winn, in 1736. They had a very large family, possibly 13 or 14 children. Two of the sons, Richard, John were Revolutionary Soldiers, perhaps Benjamin as well. John and Lettice were members of Friendship Baptist Church.
I am decended from John Jr. Other children included;
Lettice "Letty" Winn Bearden, Edmund, Benjamin, Mourning, Ansel and others.
It is possible that he had more than one wife.∼On August 14, 1764- John Bearden signed over 150 acres of land to his son Edmond Bearden in Granville, North Carolina.
Lettice Caty Winn is not listed as a daughter too Minor and Margaret on their grave memorial. She is not listed in the will of Minor Winn. Where is the document proving she is their daughter? The memorialalso says they had 9 children , 4 daughters, and 5 sons, not 13 or 14.
