GEORGETOWN -- Redge Carter died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at his home.
He was born in Georgetown County, a son of the late Will Carter and Elizabeth Flowers Carter.
Mr. Carter was the retired owner of Carter's Tile Co. He enjoyed fishing and attending antique car shows.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Mary F. Carter, include three sons, Jimmy Carter, Wayne Carter and Raymond Carter, all of Georgetown; three daughters, Emily Owens and Libby Carter, both of Georgetown, and Mickey Marshall of Andrews; two sisters, Margaret Morris of Murrells Inlet and Florence Cribb of Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. today in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
