Mr. Rachel Atkinson 79, died at 8 p.m. Monday.
She was the widow of John Atkinson.
Mrs. Atkinson was born April 23, 1876, a daughter of the late Charles Heckathorn of Coal Hill.
Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson lived in Walnut Bend for a number of years and once resided on River Street in Siverly.
She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are a brother Clark Heckathorn, Hendersonville, Pa., and a sister Mrs. Laura Stroup, New Jersey.
Interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Gordon and Gerald Carbaugh, Roy Prenatt, Raymond Fox, John Andre and Eugene Heckathorne.
