After a valiant fight with Cancer, Loren William Ashcraft, 88, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Home on June 3, 2008.

Born Aug 16, 1919 to Velma Lorene Baldridge and Robert William Ashcraft in Elbert County, Colorado, he was the first of nine children. He loved his brothers and sisters. Loren was preceded in death by his eternal companion Afton B Turnbow, whom he married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 29, 1953. Together they raised five children, Loren (Helen), Lynn (Kathy), Alona (Matthew MacGregor), Alyna, and Leon (Alece). Grandfather to 27 grandchildren; four great-grand-children. He served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He worked for Chevron Pipeline and later for the LDS Church. He loved his work in the Salt Lake Temple where he served for more than 30 years. He truly loved his God, his Family, and his Country. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Mon., June 9, at 11 a.m. in the Grandview Third Ward Chapel, 2930 S. 2000 E. Friends may call at the Grandview LDS Chapel on Sun. evening June 8, from 7-8:30 p.m. and on Mon. at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Services.
Interment: Tabiona City Cemetery.
