Niantic, Nov. 2 -- Aden C. Hawk, a prominent farmer in this vicinity, died Friday morning at 1 o'clock of cancer of the throat.
Mr. Hawk was born in Tippecanoe county, Ind., Aug 10, 1839, and came to Illinois in March, 1842, settling in Illiopolis township. Later, he moved into Macon County in November 1845, and was married to Miss Katie Blankenship in 1862. They have spent their married life on a farm five miles south of Niantic. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Katie Hawk, two daughters, Mrs. Aliff Carr of Kewanna, Ind., and Mrs. Nellie Lawton of Niantic; two sons, John of Niantic and Roy of Kewanna, Ind.; a brother James Hawk and a sister, Mrs. Laura Hall of Niantic.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Long Point church, south of Niantic, of which he was an elder. Rev. J. V. Brady of Windsor will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Long Point cemetery.
