Marr Cornia, second child and oldest daughter of Carter and Helen Cornia, was born May 13, 1917, on the ranch now known as the Hopkin's ranch in Woodruff, Utah. She grew up in Woodruff, attending grade school there. After graduating from grade school she attended South Rich High School in Randolph.
In the summers she helped her folks on the homestead up Allen canyon, and also working on ranches cooking for hay men. She taught in Primary, Sunday School and MIA in the Woodruff Ward.
On May 21, 1938, she was married to Willard Cook Tingey in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of three sons, Blaine Cornia Tingey, Glen Willard Tingey, and Steven Cornia Tingey. She passed away April 9, 2005.

She was an active member in the LDS Church serving as Relief Society President, Primary President, teacher, and visiting teacher. After retiring from ZCMI her and her husband enjoyed traveling the world where they met and have enjoyed many friendships with the Polynesian people from Hawaii and New Zealand. She enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans and gifts for family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, brother, and sister. Survived by son Blaine (Barbara) Tingey of Carey, Idaho; son Glen (Rose) Tingey of River Heights, Utah; son Steven (Ruth Ann) Tingey of South Jordan, Utah; 16 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren; her brothers Hazen Cornia, Orson Cornia, Lewis Cornia and sister Lucille Weston Call. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the Liberty Ward Chapel, 418 Harvard Avenue. Family and friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Wednesday from 6-8 p.m and 1 hr. prior at the ward on Thurs. Interment will be at approximately 2 p.m. in the Woodruff Cemetery in Woodruff, Utah.
