John Bohannon 88 years old a former Cabinet Maker and a Retired farm Manager of 307 East Blane Street, died at 10;49 oclock Saturday Night in the Clay County, Hospital.
Where he had been taken some 8 Hours earlier for emergency Treatment.. Victim of a Chronic Heart Ailment. He had been in failing Health for Several Months.

Born Near Bowling Green, May 1872 He was the son of the late Abner and Palmyra (Garvin) Bohannon
Whose families were prominent in the early developement of this area.
AS a young Man he went to Missouri where he spent several Years as a farm Manager in the Vicinity of Savannah MO.
When he returned to Brazil His skill as a Cabinet Maker made Him a Valuable employee of the Former Knight Brinkerhoff Piano Company.

In 1924 he was appointed a POsition at the Indiana State Farm. Where he remained untill 1938.. He later Worked for the Continental Carnavar Corporation. Untill his Retirement at the Age of 82.

Long Active in Masonic Affairs. He was a member of the Centennial Lodge 341 A&FM, Brazil Council 49 M&SM, a Past Commander of Brazil Commandry NO 47, Knights Templar, and a Past Worthy Patron of Brazil Chapter No 30 of the Eastern Star..
A official member of the First Methodist Church. He served on the official Church Board.
Untill His health began to fail Mr Bohannon had been active and industrious and he enjoyed keeping busy.
His JOval Dispostion was reflected by his Obliging Manner and Unfailing Kindness and Consideration to others.
He was a Splended Citizen and a Good Neighbor and he will be missed by his many Friends.
Surviving are his wife Mrs Elda Bohannon, a son Curtis A Bohannon of Greenville, Illinois, a Step Daughter Mrs Raymond Michel of Batesville,Three Step Sons,Lewis B Webster of TAmpa Florida,Austin D Webster of Kankakee, Illinois, and Robertr W Webster of Brazil. Two Grandsons Curtis J, and Jerry Bohannon and a Great Grandson Tony Curtis Bohannon of Greenville, Illinois. and some step Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Lawson Chapel at 2 pm Tuesday, The Rev Chester A Mahan of the first Methodist Church and the Masonic Rites will be in Charge of Centennial Lodge 841. With members of the lodge serving as Casket Bearers. A Guard of Honor and an HOnorary Escort will be provided by Knights TEmplar Commandry
Friends May Call at the Lawson Funeral Home at Any time.
