Lula Huckabey Barnett, 94, of Englewood, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at Bradley County Nursing Home.

A native of McMinn County and resident of Englewood for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late George and Addie Elliott Huckabey and was a member of Englewood Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elihue Barnett; and one son, Fleetes Barnett.

Survivors include one daughter, Pauline McSpadden of Cleveland; one sister, Letha Price of Athens; one daughter-in-law, Bennie Barnett of Englewood; two stepdaughters, Ruth McCaslin of Etowah and Velma Lee Derrick of Englewood; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were 6 p.m. Sunday in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister David Fasig officiating. Burial was 11 a.m. Monday in Sunrise Cemetery.

The family received friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah was in charge of arrangements.
