Kenneth Luckett, 66
NEWARK - Kenneth Dale Luckett, 66, of Newark, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 25, 1940, in Hanover, to the late Stephen F. and Myrta Paynter Luckett. Mr. Luckett was a veteran of the U.S. Army, honorably serving his country from Aug. 26, 1958, to Sept. 27, 1963.
He is survived by two brothers, Emmett E. Luckett of Newark and Stephen F. Luckett of Dresden; two sisters, Jane E. (Tubby) Hindel of Dresden and Jean S. Thompson of Newark; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bob Pedersen of Newark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diana Farmer Luckett, who died Jan. 26, 1996; a brother, Charles F. Luckett; and a nephew, John Siegel.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta Funeral & Cremation Service.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, where military honors will be observed by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
