In the death of Richard Price, we are again reminded that the old pioneers of Paulding county are fast passing away. Richard Price was born in Licking county, Ohio, March 9th, 1850, and died at his home near Latty April 8th, 1905, aged 55 years and 1 month.

Deceased came with his parents to this county in the fall of 1867. He was for quite a number of years in the employ of the wood working factories of Hedges and was held in high esteem by all his employers and associates. He became a member of the Red Men's Lodge at Haviland several years ago, and was an honored and consistent member of the same until his death.

He was united in marriage to Miss Mary J. Good July 6th 1872, to which union 4 sons and 3 daughters were born. He was a kind and affectionate husband, father and neighbor, and many a weary traveler has partaken of his kind hospitality.
