Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Carver, 76, 1404 1/2 Silver Street, died Friday evening at a hospital after a year's illness. Mrs. Carver was born April 10, 1886, at Page, Neb. She was married to Hamilton "Shorty" Carver on May 13, 1914, in Sioux City. He died December 24, 1962, here. She was a resident of Sioux City for about 51 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Alice Hastings of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Doris Hill of Vancouver, Wash.; Mrs. Vivian McGregor and Mrs. Evelyn Huntley, both of Sioux City; a son, Elmer of Spokane; a sister, Mrs. Vivian Kunkel of Needles, Cal.; four brothers, Henry and Lyle Phelps both of Sioux City, Roy Phelps of Lynchburg, Va., and Charles Phelps of St. Paul.; 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
