MR. ASHLEY, EDINBURG, DIES
Short Illness Is Fatal to Johnson County Man-Rites Monday.
EDINBURG, March 28 - Herbert Ashley, 54, of Edinburg, died at 4 o'clock this morning at the Johnson county Memorial hospital after an illness of a week.
He was born Sept. 25, 1898, in Shelby county, son of Frank and Susan Harold Ashley. Survivors are two sons, Lawrence and Frank Ashley, both of Edinburg; two brothers, Otto Ashley of Franklin and Everett Ashley of Hartsville, and a sister, Mrs. Halbert McKee of Nineveh. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Mutz funeral home in Edinburg conducted by the Rev. C. T. Herold of Indianapolis. Burial will be at Rest Haven cemetery in Edinburg.
The casket will be open at the funeral home after 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon.
