Wichita, KS - George J. Allen, 59, 1318 So. Plummer, died here Friday at Wesley Medical Center following a short illness.
He was born March 9 1925 in Chanute, the son of George and Alta Jane (Moran) Allen.
A lifetime Chanute resident, he married Mildred Ehrman July 3, 1943.
He was Shop Superintendent of the Kansas Department of Transportation where he had been employed the past 30 years.
Memberships: Elk Club.
Survivors: Wife of the home; one son, Greg, 1014 West 3rd; two daughters, Judy Howell, 901 So. Grant, and Linda Metcalf, of Eldorado, AR, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral 10:30 A.M. Monday at Living Word Assembly Church. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials to the Heart Fund may be left at the Gibson-Koch Funeral home.
