David Cutrell
GALENA, Kan.—David Cutrell, 82 years old, suffered a heart attack at 6:15 o'clock Saturday night in his home at Eleventh and Washington streets, and was pronounced dead on arrival at St. John's hospital in Joplin, where he was taken by Derfelt ambulance. He had not been ill.
Born September 16, 1878, in Kentucky, he went to Seminole, Okla., when a young man. He had resided in Galena the last 25 years.
He was an oldtime fiddler and played for dances in the area for a number of years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose Cutrell; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Wilcox and Mrs. Flossie Jensen, both of Omaha, Neb.; four step-sons, Roy Bender of Picher, Clarence Bender of Treece, Jack Bender of the state of California, and Dale Bender of Liberal, Kan.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Nancy Simons, Treece; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Gustin of Holdenville, Okla., and Mrs. Babe Jones of California, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Derfelt funeral home.

GALENA, Kan. — Services for David (Pistol Pete) Cutress (sic)[Cutrell], 82 years old, who died Saturday night, will be at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon in Derfelt chapel, with the Rev. Dow Booe officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Ashlock, Alvin Wommack, Ed Meeks, Harvey Jenkins, Riley LaGore and Herman Channell.
