After leaving the Air Force, he attended Don Martin School for Radio and Television Art and Sciences in Hollywood, California to become a broadcast engineer. After graduation, he worked at Cascade Broadcasting in Pasco, Washington, later transferring to KPTV in Portland, Oregon.
He enrolled at Washington State University where he studied education. He graduated in 1970, and began teaching Math and Electronics at Wenatchee High School. On December, 27,1974, he married Christina Eisele and had two children, Stacy and Lance. The family farmed a small apple and cherry orchard for many years. He retired from teaching after 25 years from Wenatchee High School. He had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Labrador Retrievers.
Larry is survived by his wife, Christina of East Wenatchee; a daughter, Stacy of Bellevue; a son, Lance of Wenatchee; a sister and brother-in-law LaVonne and Blaine Hales of Mapleton, Utah; a brother-in-law, Jim Lane, Friday Harbor; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon Lane.
A celebration of Larry's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2004, at Eastmont Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Kentucky in East Wenatchee, the Rev. Jim Deal, officiating.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Telford's Chapel of the Valley for viewing on Friday from noon to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley Funeral Service, East Wenatchee.
Memorial donations may be made to Eastmont Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice. The Dugan Family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, and others who cared for Larry during his illness.
