The Servant of God, Friar Arsenio da Trigolo was born Giuseppe Antonio Migliavacca on June 13, 1849 to Glicerio Migliavacca and Annunziata Strumia, the fifth of their twelve children. Ordained presbyter through the Society of Jesus on March 21, 1874, he served as coadjutor of the parishes of Paderno d'Ossolaro and Cassano d'Adda.

Director of the Pio Istituto di Maria Consolatrice, he founded the Insitute of the Suore di Maria SS. Consolatrice in 1883, after years of sacrifices and calumnies, assisted by Sr. Pasqualina Fumagalli, which was canonically approved on June 20, 1895. At 53 years of age, he entered the Order of Franciscan Friars Minor Capuchins, receiving the name of Arsenio da Trigolo, taking his solemn vows on June 25, 1906.

Admired by his nuns for his remarkable silence even after being innocently accused of several false accusations for years, he served as spiritual director to numerous female members of religious life. He died after a long history of frail health on December 10, 1909, in the convent of Bergamo, aged 60. His remains were interred inside the city's cemetery, but where later exhumed and transported to the chapel of the Casa Madre delle Suore di Maria SS. Consolatrice in Milan in 1953. With the cause for beatification opened in 1997, he was declared blessed on October 7, 2017.
