Keith Thomas Whatley, 32, of Taylor passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008 at St. David's Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, May 23, 2008 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 5 PM Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Providence Funeral Home with Royce Williamson officiating with burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

On May 20 Keith Whatley had complications during surgery and passed away on May 22 at St. David's Hospital in Austin.

Keith served in the U.S. Air Force after graduating Taylor High School. He was an Eagle Scout. He was an Avid Hunter and conversationalist. He was a member of HWY 95 Church of Christ. He was deeply loved by his family and he loved his Lord and family also. He was a very loving husband, son, and much loved by his nephews and nieces, sisters and those who knew him. He was a quiet gentle man with a kind smile and good heart. He loved working on his family ranch and spent much time there working and enjoying solitude. He was an organ donor and cared very much for others. He was going to start Tarleton State in the fall to finish his Business degree before his death. He loved to cook BBQ at home and on his ranch for family and friends. He will be missed all by who loved and knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Whatley of Taylor; parents Glen Whatley and wife Judy of Taylor; grandmother, Alice Grieger of Taylor; sisters, Julie Whatley Patrick and husband, Kelly of Elgin, Jennifer Whatley Prinz and husband, Scott of Taylor and Laura Whatley of Huntsville; brother-in-law, Peter O'Briant and wife, Lirio; nieces, Taylor Prinz and Gabby O'Briant; nephews, Tyler and Gage Prinz; special aunt Kellie Heiner, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
