Professional Japanese Baseball Player. He was a highly accomplished Japanese professional baseball player who was signed by the Hiroshima Carp in 1956. He was renowned for his career with the Hiroshima Carp from 1956 to 1967 and later with the Kintetsu Buffaloes from 1968 to 1970. Following his playing career, he transitioned to a successful managerial role with Hiroshima. His impact was felt in both the Japan Central League and the Japan Pacific League. Overall, he had hit .218/.267/.283 in 15 seasons in NPB. He was 203-163-24 as a manager in 3 seasons. He played and managed in the Nippon Pro Baseball for more than 30 years.
