MISSOULA - Fred Franklin McCalla, 69, of Missoula, died of cardiac arrest Thursday, Feb. 23, at his home.
He was born Dec. 27, 1919, in Augusta, Kan., to Sabra and Cecil McCalla.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Navy.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed volunteer work with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).
Mr. McCalla attended the Missionary Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife, Flora McCalla, Missoula; a son, Cecil E. McCalla, Missoula; a sister, Ruby Phillips, Wenatchee, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
Viewing will be at 9 am to 6 pm Saturday at Squire Simmons & Carn Funeral Home.
Funeral services and burial will be Tuesday in Wenatchee.
