Dorothy S. Iverson, 81, of Great Falls, Montana, died of cancer Sunday at Peace Hospice. Burial will be at Fort Harrison in Helena, Montana. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Dorothy was born in Ashland, Wisconsin, the only child of Leif P. Moe and Julia O. Thompson. As an adult, Dorothy resided in Yakima, Wash., Chisholm, Minn., and Washburn, Wis. She met Loren Iverson in Chisholm and they married Aug. 1, 1959. They eventually made their home in Bozeman, MT. In 2001, they moved to Great Falls to be near their youngest daughter, Misi and her family.

While residing in Bozeman, Dorothy had been employed by the Deaconess Hospital, Montana State University, Dr. Vadheim, a general physician, Western Bank of Bozeman and Consumer Credit Counseling, from where she retired as a financial counselor.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Loren Iverson of Great Falls; her children, Linda Taber (Richard) of Superior, Wis., Earl Anderson of Milwaukee, Wis., Michael Anderson of Superior, Roger Anderson (Cleo) of Helena, Carole Saari, Elwood Saari of Seattle, Wash., Greg Saari (Debbie) of Richland, Wash., and Misi Turner (Aaron) of Great Falls; a daughter-in-law, Ingrid Anderson; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; as well as other extended family members.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Leif Moe; a son, Gary Lee Anderson, who died March 18, 2003; and a granddaughter, Kathryn Shirl Anderson, who died April 7, 1969.
