Jeffery "Jeff" Dewayne Brazzell, 40, of Niota, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2000, at the family home, after a lengthy illness.
He was a member of Sweetwater House of Worship and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe and Pearl Freeman Brazzell and Lewis and Pearlie Worthy.
Survivors include his parents, Clifford and Velma Brazzell of Niota; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Chipper Saffles of Niota; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Janice Brazzell of Athens; four nephews, Jeremie Brazzell and wife, Sandra, of Niota, Joey Brazzell of Athens and Chase and Zachery Goodmen, both of Niota; two nieces, Heather Nunley and husband, Adam, of Decatur and Brooklyn Goodmen of Niota; one great-niece, Allison Brazzell of Niota; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and one special friend, Frances Powers of Niota.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Kyker Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Lloyd and the Rev. Audie May officiating. Burial will follow in the Niota Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
