Killed
Riker Harmon, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Harmon, of Perryville, was instantly killed Saturday near Cynthiana when a telephone pole crushed him against a dirt bank. Young Harmon was one of the crew of men resetting poles for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company. A trench had been dug so that the wired poles could be slipped into their new location. Four poles were being moved with a man at each pole to guide it. The poles toppled and young Harmon was unable to get out of the way and was instantly killed.
