Myrtle R. Robinson, 93, died Friday, July 26, 2002, at The Home Place in Madison. She had been a resident there for almost nine years. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in the Crystal Springs Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date at The Home Place in Madison. Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Robinson was born in Lemon. She moved to Crystal Springs at a very young age, where she loved for many years before moving to Jackson in 1940.

She had been a member of Van Winkle Baptist Church since 1945, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years and was proud of her 27 year perfect attendance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Robinson, her parents, Jessie and Mary Russum, two brothers, eight sisters, and a great-grandson.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Kelly and son-in-law, John B. Kelly; granddaughters, Vickie Harter and husband Carl of Leesville, La., Cindy Breeland and husband Brady of Long Beach; grandsons, Jim Roberts of Jackson, and Steve Roberts and wife Kim of Terry.

She is, also, survived by great-granddaughters, Michelle Harter of Leesville, La., Teresa Munley and her husband Brad of Leesville, La., and Stephanie, Adrienne, and Samantha Roberts of Terry; great-grandson, Shawn Reckard and wife Katerina of Oceanside, Calif.; one great-great-granddaughter, Taylor Harter of Leesville, La.

Survivors also include several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give very special thanks to all the employees of The Home Place for all the loving care they gave to Mrs. Robinson during her residence there. Everyone there became her special family and their friendship, prayers, and support will always be remembered, especially by her daughter.

In lieu of flowers, the family sincerely requests donations in Mrs. Robinson's memory be made to The Home Place, P.O. Drawer 720, Madison, MS 39130-0720. Robinson
