HARTLEY MARTHA BOOTH Died on November 26, 2002 in Burlingame. She was born on February 10, 1913 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Wheelock College in Boston, she became a preschool teacher. In 1944, she moved to California and settled in San Francisco. The family moved to San Mateo in 1950 where she was a member of the Hillsdale United Methodist Church, the San Mateo County Historical Society, the San Mateo Garden Club and the local Organ Guild. Martha was a scout leader and also received a lifetime membership in the PTA. She is survived by daughter, Marilee Swanson and husband, Doug of Concord, daughter, Margaret Parker of Redwood City, grandson, Paul Bloom and wife, Nancy of Fairfield, grandson, Marc Bloom of Concord, and great-granddaughters, Madeline and Ella Bloom. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 3:00 p.m. at the Hillsdale United Methodist Church.
