Savannah Railroad. Elected 1st Lieutenant of Co. H, 12th Ga. Infantry. (Bibb County) on June 9, 1861. Resigned on April 14, 1862. Served in the Quartermaster Corps in Florida and later as a Lieutenant Colonel under Stonewall Jackson.
