Mason Moses Seavey was born in Dec 1839 in Oxford Co. Maine*. His father was Moses Seavey. His wife was Martha Ella Davis (1852-1934). Married on Jan 4, 1872. They had 5 children.

Five children:
1. Ella May SEAVEY
1872 – 1911
2. Mason Moses SEAVEY
1877 – 1966
3. Nellie Rose SEAVEY
1883 – 1918
4. Charles Wesley SEAVEY
1891 – 1934
5. Evelyn Ruth SEAVEY 1893 – 1963

Mason came to Colorado in search of gold after a failed attempt the first and second times. He operated a grocer store at 760 Larimer St in Denver in 1874. At some point and served as a Corporal in the US Army in Company E, 3rd Colorado Cavalry, (military marker). There is another Seavey from Maine buried here as well, Charles Seavey, born in 1848, (military marker). Both are in the military section 27. I don't know the relation but they must be brothers perhaps or cousins? I don't know dates of death either. Cemetery must have them. They are in Riverside Cemetery in Denver Colorado.
