Daniel Braxton "Brack" Allen, 76, of Leitchfield, died Wednesday, July 1, 1992, at Humana Hospital University of Louisville, from injuries received in a farming accident Monday. He was born in Falls of Rough, KY, was a farmer and businessman, was a former Grayson County judge and a two term Leitchfield city judge, and was a former general manager of Rough River State Park. He had been a candidate for sheriff in Grayson County and formerly ran for a state senate seat. He was currently operating the Circle A Cattle Farm near Millwood. He was an Army photographer during WW II. Survivors include his wife, Rachael Elizabeth Gilles Allen; 2 sons, Jim Allen of Columbus, OH, and Danny Joe Allen of Leitchfield; 2 daughters, Mary Jane Allen of Wasilla, Alaska and Becky Hemberger of Leitchfield; 13 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Bill Allen of Lexington, and M.D. Allen of Philpot; and 3 sisters, Mrs. Jessie Reed of Rineyville, Mrs. Mable Davies of Brandenburg and Pauline Fontaine of Elizabethtown. Services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Leitchfield United Methodist Church. Burial in Layman Memorial Cemetery. Visitation after 7 p.m. today at Ellis-Mayes Funeral Home, where prayer services will be held today at the funeral home.

Funeral services were July 4 at Leitchfield Methodist Church. Burial was at Laymon Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Ellis Funeral Home.
