Obituary for Joy Armantrout;

Joy Ann Armantrout, 67, 8325 North 400 East, Bryant, died Thursday at her home following a sudden illness.

Born in Bryant Sept. 27, 1931, she was the daughter of George and Marceil (Rowles) Garlinger. She was married Nov. 20, 1950 to Marion "Jake" Armantrout who surives.

Mrs. Armantrout was employed ,at C.T.S. in Berne, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Geneva, Portland Moose Lodge, the Eagles Lodge in Portland, and the Portland American Legion Auxiliary.

Other survivers include a son, William Armantrout, Portland; two daughters, Sharon Persinger and Mrs. (Ed) Judy Hicks, both of Portland; a brother Max Garlinger, Decatur, nine grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Baird-Freeman Funeral HOme, Portland, with the Rev. Stephen Hill presiding.

Burial will be at Limberlost Cemetery in Bryant.

Visitation will be Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Jay County Heart Fund.
