A Tribute in Memory of H. C. Glazener
In the passing of H. C. Glazener, Montgomery County and especially Black Springs, lost one of her oldest and best citizens; a man of lofty ambition, zeal of purpose and genuine christian character; a just and upright man, always to be found on the side of right and justice; ready to lend whatever means his position in life would justify or help in the betterment of his community and his fellow-men; a leader in his church, than whom no mere familiar figure could be found; a radiant christian character; a toiler who made the most of his opportunities; to him and such as he do we owe much of what is good, most noble and best in life; unassuming, unpretentious, but a life of service to his fellow-man.

We wish to thank the good people of Black Springs through the columns of the Review for the wonderful kindness shown our dear father during his last illness, especially the men who went night after night to sit up and ministered on and on till his death and then helped in the arrangements for the funeral. Also we wish to thank the good women who made his last days brighter and happier and for the beautiful flowers which they laid on his last resting place. While our hearts are so sad and lonely over the loss of such a good and noble father, the thoughts of all this kindness makes the burden lighter.
