Daughter of the late Henry Monroe and Mary Ellen Capps Richardson and widow of Lewis Whiteford Floyd, she was a member of High Point Baptist Church. She was survived by two daughters, Linda Floyd Sanders and Patricia Floyd Krzywda; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and an extended family of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a son, Henry Rogers Floyd, and three daughters, Doris Jollie, Marian Stratton and Sylvia Lamczyk, and a grandson, Billy Floyd. Her funeral was held June 1, 2008, at High Point Baptist Church with The Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.
