On January 14, 1991, God loaned Calvin and B'Onka Hill an angel. God allowed her parents to name her and raise her in the fear and admonition of Him. This angel was named Czavi'er Lantia Hill and her parents knew that she would make a mark in this world. On March 24, 2022, her purpose on this earth was fulfilled and our angel went back home to be with Him.
Czavi'er was known to be fun loving, cheerful, and outgoing. She was very active in school from kindergarten to grad school. She was creative and smart and was an honor student all her life. Czavi'er was selected to be in the Gifted and Talented program in elementary school and continued to soar academically throughout her entire school career. She had always been a talker and a natural motivator and first showed an interest in communications while attending Western Branch Middle School. While in high school, Czavi'er became a certified on-air radio announcer with Hampton University's WHOV 88.1, where she hosted the Wednesday evening Blues Show.
Czavi'er was a Parson's scholar and received a 4-year scholarship to attend Norfolk State University. While attending NSU, she co-hosted the on-campus talk show called the "Golden Message". As a natural leader, she was selected to represent NSU at the Gloucester Institute for student leaders. She was an honor graduate and received her bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. She later completed a master's degree in Human Services Counseling and was actively working on a second master's degree in Strategic Communications, both from Regent University. Regent University will commemorate her degree in Strategic Communications.
Czavi'er has been in church all her life. But more important than her being in church, was the love of God that was in her. Over the years, she sung in the choir, praise danced, coordinated Women's Conferences, and co-hosted ladies' night to name a few. With her love of communications, she handled all the technology and streaming functions at New Genesis Worship Center. She loved working alongside her dad in ministry. Czavi, as she was affectionately known, was called into ministry early and finally accepted the call on her life during college. Her initial sermon was entitled "Built for This". She used many platforms to share her gift and to expound on the Word of God. She had an email ministry called "Chew on This", a blog called "My Sister's Keeper", and a streaming platform called "Let's Talk Tuesday!". She loved God and she loved being used by Him to help His people. Czavi'er was an amazing woman of God.
Czavi was the proud owner of One Fourteen & Company where she uplifted Jesus, strived to help people find their purpose, and helped with branding. The significance in One Fourteen was that it was her birthday. Before starting her company, she worked as an administrator in higher education helping students at Regent University and Hampton University. She recently accepted a job with Eagle Harbor to be a lead photographer and editor in Public Affairs. She was so excited to get back into communications.
Czavi was a member of the Virginia Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her line name was "Static Electricity". During the induction ceremony, she stated, "you may not see me coming, but you sure will feel my presence". That was so true of her personality on so many levels. Everyone who knew her surely felt her presence. She didn't care to be out front, to brag or be in the limelight, she just wanted to make a difference. All who knew her, loved her.
The stories and accomplishments about Czavi could go on and on. As we cherish her memories and continue her legacy, she will be extremely missed but never forgotten by her parents, Calvin and B'Onka Hill of Chesapeake, VA; her big brother and sister-in-law, Calvin, Jr. (CJ) and Courtney Hill of Chesapeake, VA; her uncles, Vidal Wright of Jacksonville, NC and Harold Hill, Jr. (Paulette) of Las Vegas, NV; her God-Mother, Kimberly Bundy of New Bern, NC; her God-daughter, Krimzyn Coats of Chesapeake, VA; her New Genesis Worship Center Church family, Great Uncles, cousins, and many friends. Czavi'er had special friends who loved her as their sister: Kiera Abdelkader, Tevin Milton, Tina Abah, Brett Conn, Denzel Cross, Tanya Mills, Korey Bell, Eddie McClam, and Dr. Takeyra "Keyke" Coats.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A judge has given convicted killer Cola Beale multiple life sentences for the murders of two people in Virginia Beach.
Virginia Beach Circuit Court Judge James C. Lewis sentenced Beale to two life terms without the possibility of parole, one life term, 62 years, and 12 months. This sentence also includes three probation violation charges, as Beale was on probation for three separate sets of charges while he committed these murders.
Beale went on a killing spree in 2022 and led police on a days-long manhunt.
On March 22, 2022, Beale killed his girlfriend, Czavier Hill. Police later found his father figure, Clifton Baxter, dead on March 25. Then in Norfolk, on March 28, he killed his cousin Downing McLean. He was arrested in Hampton on March 31.

Earlier this year, he was found guilty of two of the murders in Virginia Beach, which is what he'll be sentenced for on Tuesday. Beale was convicted of aggravated murder, abduction, arson, torture of an animal to death, and gun charges.
When he was found guilty on all counts, he had an outburst in the courtroom, saying "Can we get this over with?" The judge then ordered a deputy to take Beale out of the courtroom in handcuffs.

After the guilty verdict, Beale spoke with 13News Now behind bars again, where he said he thought he'd be sentenced immediately.
On Tuesday, a judge gave Beale three life sentences, 62 years, and 12 months for all of his convictions:
- Life for the murder of Czavier Hill
- Life for the murder of Clifton Baxter
- Life for arson of a dwelling
- 10 years arson of property
- 5 years for gun charge
- 5 years for gun charge
- 5 years for cruelty of an animal
- 10 years for abduction
- Plus 27 years and 12 months for violating probation from other charges.
"Life is not yours to take," said Clifton Baxter's sister, Sherry Banks. "He went over to Vietnam and fought for our freedom and then he came home to die on his own soil? No."
That's what Banks told Cola Beale inside the courtroom when sharing a victim impact statement Tuesday morning. She told the judge Baxter raised Beale and couldn't understand why Beale would take his life.
"Every day has been hard and it's going to be hard until my Heavenly Father calls me home," she said.
Hill's parents also spoke at Beale's sentencing hearing. Her father described Beale as a "monster."
"The monster executed my daughter," he said. "I sit here and I hurt... to know that she was executed by someone she opened her house to, opened her heart to, hurts."
Hill's mother said she has a "permanent hole" in her heart following Hill's death.
Prosecutors said Beale was on probation when he was on his killing spree. They said Beale had a terrible record, which included robberies and sexual battery.
Prosecutors said his "criminal bingo card is full," adding Beale has nothing to offer to society.
"There are certain things that were expected due to the nature of the charges," said Beale's lawyer, Trevor Robinson. "He has since expressed to me his remorse for his transgression."
It won't be the last sentencing for Beale. In May, he was found guilty again in Norfolk for the murder of his cousin, Downing McLean. Beale will be sentenced for that murder in Norfolk next month.
