She enjoyed hummingbirds, reading, crossword puzzles, spending time at the family cottage on Black Lake, and taking day trips to the casino.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, two sons, 7 grandchildren, two brothers, a sister, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles, a daughter Susan Ernhout Beal, 3 brothers Leonard, Claude, and Stan Fowler, and a sister Gladys Martin.
