Word was received here Sunday of the death of Frank C March, 74, at their home in Maryville. Death was due to a heart attack. The remains were taken Monday to Bellefountain, Ohio for burial.
Mr and Mrs March and their family of 4 daughters came to this county from Ohio about 1909 through the Presbyterian Mission Board located in Grassy Cove. In 1911 he became principal of the county high school, continuing in that position until 1917. Their only son, John, was born here as were twin daughters. Their 3rd daughter, Mary Frances, passed away several years ago while teaching in Maryville. His wife and other children survive.
During his years as principal, the school reached an "A" standard, the first class was graduated and the alumni association was organized.
