Daughter of the late Robert and Bertha Williams English, she married Richard McCandless on February 3, 1954, in Enid, Garfield County, OK. She was a military wife, living in several places before they settled in Crescent, OK. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, one sister and one brother. She was survived by two daughters, one son, one stepson, one sister, one brother, two grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granchildren. Her graveside service was officiated by The Rev. Rick Duncan on June 2, 2008.
