Mary (Allison) Foss, 66, West Des Moines, and a native of Northwood, died
Aug. 27, 2002 of cancer. Dunst Funeral Home of West Des Moines was in charge
of arrangements and no public funeral services are planned.
Mary Allison was born July 4, 1936, the daughter of Dr. M. P. and Sue
Allison, Northwood. She graduated from Northwood High School in 1954 and
Grinnell College in 1958. She was employed by the Veterans Administration
in Washington, D.C. until 1965 when she married Larry Foss of Northwood at
her home that year. She then was employed by the Veterans Administration
in Des Moines for several years.
Survivors include her husband Larry Foss of West Des Moines; daughter
Elizabeth Sue Foss of Webster City; mother Sue Allison, Northwood, and
