Owen was born on June 12, 1925 in Dallas, TX to parents Norman Wright and Altie Owens and entered into eternal rest on October 16, 2015 at the age of 90. Owen was known as " PaPa" by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was strong in his faith and loved his family; especially his grandchildren. Owen loved working and was a great provider for his family. He worked as a paint contractor for over 30 years and owned rental properties for over 20 years. Owen was a member of The Lion's Club; where he was a donut cooker, and the Boy Scouts; where he was an Assistant Scout Master. He restored a 1965 Thunderbird with his late wife and son, Dennis. Owen won several trophies at numerous car shows. He was a very loving and caring man who will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved him.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Virginia, son Michael, four brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his son Dennis Wright of Mabank, daughter Andrea Claxton and husband David of Rice, TX, granddaughters; Tiffany Barrett and husband Dustan of Mabank and Shelly Meadows of Canton, grandson Caleb Meadows, great-grandchildren; Karissa, Peyton, Dustyn and Chandler, other loving family members and many more friends.
