He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin, Sr. & Luana (Roberts) Johnson, and sister, Bea Brantley.
Mr. Johnson was a 1946 graduate of Valdosta High School where he played football with the Valdosta Wildcats, and he was a baseball catcher. He attended Valdosta State College and retired in 1990 from the Pipe & Boiler Insulation Co.
Interment followed funeral services conducted Wednesday, April 30, 2008.
