LaVeta W. Dyer's Services Are Held
Funeral services for Mrs. LaVeta W. Dyer were 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, in Hunsaker Funeral chapel with George Weston, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating.
Mrs. Dyer died Monday morning, March 26, 1990, in St. Joseph Medical center in Ponca City following a brief illness. She was 64.
She was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Pagosa Springs, Colo., the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Simpson) Barnard. She came to Oklahoma at an early age and attended schools in Grayhorse and Burbank.
She Married Cliff Dyer Oct. 10, 1944 and they lived in several states where he was engaged in oilfield work. They moved to Osage county where they have made their home the past 30 years.
She was preceded in death by twin daughters, her parents, a sister and a brother.
Survivors include her husband, Cliff, and a son, Sam, both of the home; two sisters, Helen Mills, Plainville, Kan., and Eva Rae Burgess, Fairfax; a sister-in-law, Vivian Bernard, Rolla, Kan., and many more distant relatives and friends.
Bearers were Dennis, Doyle and Earle Heath, Dickie Johnson, Pet Stone and Jim Ferren.
Interment was in Burbank cemetery, directed by Hunsaker Funeral home.
