Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Cox Baskin, a former resident of Okolona, were held at the graveside at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in Odd Fellows Cemetery with Rev. Perry Tanksley officiating. Barry Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Baskin, who was 87, died at 8 a.m. Monday in Leesburg, Va., following an illness of several weeks. She was a longtime resident of Okolona before moving to Leesburg about 20 years ago to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Mary B. Berliner. She was born in Columbus but lived in Okolona after her marriage. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her daughter she leaves one sister, Mrs. S. T. Pilkinton of Artesia, Miss., five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
