BLITCH, CLAUDIA ROYALL, 87, of Inverness, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Friday (Jan. 23, 2004) in Inverness. Born in Mount Pleasant, S.C., she came here in 2000 from St. Petersburg. She was a hostess for Maas Brothers, St. Petersburg, and was a member of the Inverness Club. Survivors include two sons, Baynard Royall Blitch, St. Petersburg, and William Melvin Blitch, Columbia, S.C.; a daughter, Elizabeth Blitch-Torgersen, Homosassa; a sister, Mary Freeman, North Carolina; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Claudia Royall Blitch, 87, Inverness and St. Petersburg, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, in Inverness. Mrs. Blitch was born Nov. 7, 1916, to Allen and Elizabeth Kimzey. She was a former hostess for Maas Brothers in St. Petersburg. Mrs. Blitch was a member of the Inverness Club in Inverness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Blitch Jr., in 1957. Survivors include two sons, Baynard Royall Blitch of St. Petersburg and William Melvin Blitch of Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Elizabeth Blitch-Torgersen of Homosassa; a sister, Mary Freeman of North Carolina; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
