Mrs. Neva M. Ball was born Aug. 2, 1894, at Independences, she was the daughter of Thaddeus and Drucilla Sherrets Slater. She was united in marriage to David Ball at Quasqueton on Dec. 31, 1913. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ladies Aid Society, Quasqueton Federated Garden Club, King's Daughters, GBA Club and Senior Citizens. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Donald Ball of Cedar Rapids, and Bernard Ball of rural Winthrop; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, David in 1961, one one sister and two brothers.
