Zeola Cochran
Zeola Cochran, 93, of Englewood, died Monday morning, Jan. 5, 2004, at Woods Memorial Hospital.
A daughter of the late Edgar and Dorcas Harris Stiles, she was a native of Monroe County and had been a resident of McMinn County for the past 83 years. She was of the Christian faith and was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert H. Cochran; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include six daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail and Claude Anderson, Huberta Williams, Twila Chrisman and June Cochran, all of Englewood, Dorcas Carter of Winterville, N.C., and Jean and Jim McDermott of Ayden, N.C.; three sons and daughters-in-law, DeLayne and Mary Cochran, Ed and Nancy Cochran and Doug and Lisa Cochran, all of Englewood; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home, concluding with the Celebration of Life video. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Friday and proceed to Cochran Cemetery for the 10 a.m. burial. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cochran Cemetery, the First Baptist youth or the Englewood Textile Museum.
Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
