He was born on Apr. 20, 1939 at Zion, AR to Ewell and Tina Audrey (Fudge) Hall. When he was eight years old, he moved with his family to Orondo. They later moved to East Wenatchee and Bill attended East Wenatchee schools. Following his schooling, he worked in area orchards. He was married to Angela Maria Navone on Jan. 17, 1958 at Coeur d'Alene, ID. They made their first home together in East Wenatchee.
In April of 1969, they purchased the Rock Island Tavern, now known as the "Rock Bar and Grill" in Rock Island. Together they operated their business until retiring in 1982 and moving to Conconully where they operated the Hidden Treasure Resort.
In 1988, they returned to Rock Island and in 1993 they resumed the operation of the Rock Bar and Grill. He continued assisting until ill health forced him to retire.
Bill was a former member of Wenatchee Aerie #204 Fraternal Order of Eagles and had been a member of the 20-40 Active Club. Through their business they had sponsored men's and women's softball teams, stock car racing teams, blowing league teams, pool league teams and dart teams. He especially enjoyed dancing, socializing, hunting and fishing. He was a man's man and enjoyed being with the guys.
He is survived by his wife, Angel "Angie" Hall, Rock Island; three daughters, Lisa G. Bell, East Wenatchee, Dena M. Hall, Rock Island and Doris A. Hall-Johnson, Gig Harbor; his mother Tina A. Hall, Wenatchee; three brothers, Kirk Hall, Rock Island, Vaughn D. Hall, East Wenatchee and Paul D. Hall, East Wenatchee; five sisters, Donna Ellis, East Wenatchee, Scottie King, Cashmere, Charlotte Robertson, Troy, MT, Carolyn Hall-Marlin, East Wenatchee and Gail Hall, Wenatchee; four grandchildren, Patrick Sagdal, Seattle, Nicholas Hall-Johnson, Okanogan, Angela Ruthann Hall-Johnson, Rock Island, Brady J. Bell, East Wenatchee; his twin great-granddaughters, Kayla and Chelsea Houch, East Wenatchee and his lifelong friends, Travis Owens and Jack Cooper of Wenatchee. He was preceded in death by his father, Ewell D. Hall, his daughter, Gina Rae Hall, one sister, Melba Stuart and one brother, Jerry D. Hall.
Commemoration services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, with the Reverend Paul Williams officiating. Concluding services and entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 5:30 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in his name to the Alzheimer Wing at Parkside Care Center. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
