Abigail may have been the first wife of John Poulter, son of John Poulter and Rachel Eliot, who was b. Dec. 23, 1666 at Billerica. There were no other Poulter families in Mass. at the time. John married Hannah Hammond, of Watertown, abt. 1695. Neither marriage is recorded in the vital records. Abigail's marriage is not mentioned in any family or town histories. Henry Bond (GENEALOGIES OF THE FAMILIES & DESCENDANTS OF THE EARLY SETTLERS OF WATERTOWN) didn't make this connection. Neither did Charles Hudson (HISTORY OF LEXINGTON) or James Savage (GENEALOGICAL DICTIONARY OF THE FIRST SETTLERS).
