The long and useful life of one of our best citizens Beverly A. Cornwell was terminated by death from typhoid fever after three weeks suffering on the 26th day of September A.D. 1879 at 2 o'clock P.M.

The deceased was born on the 26th day of February 1817 in the state of Kentucky. From there he moved in early life to Illinois, residing for many years in Sullivan County. From there he moved to this county in 1872, since then he has resided among us.

He leaves a wife, three children and several grandchildren with three step-children and many friends to mourn his loss. But sorrow not as thosse who have no hope for Brother Cornwell had been for many years as upright Christian. May the blessing of our Kind Heavenly Father rest upon the bereaved Family of the deceased leading then to lock to him for Divine aid to sustain them in this sad affliction and bereavement
