Carl Dean Bolinger, 57, a resident of East Wenatchee for the past 57 years, died Friday, July 23, 1999 at his home.
Carl was born on Aug. 7, 1941 at Wenatchee to Myron and Anna (Mitchell) Bolinger. He attended Eastmont High School and graduated in 1959. In 1960, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving until 1963, when he was honorably discharged. In 1966 he went into partnership with his father, Myron, in what is now Bolinger And Sons, Inc. In 1969, he married Sharron Joan Smith at Wenatchee. They made their home on the family ranch at Baker Flats where they raised their two daughters and have lived ever since.
Carl loved the time he spent with his family and especially the time spent with his grandchildren. He was also a huge fan and very involved with stock car racing, buying his first stock car in 1981. He later owned and sponsored many cars, being last involved with the North West Tour Cars, #84. He loved growing apples and time spent with his mother, Anna Bolinger.
Carl is survived by his wife, Sharron Bolinger of the family home; mother, Anna Bolinger of East Wenatchee; daughters, Sandy Stanaway and husband, Craig of East Wenatchee and Shannon Hoover and husband, Mark of Monroe; brothers, Loren Bolinger and wife, Barbara of Everett and Rick Bolinger of East Wenatchee; sister, Nancy Dahlen and husband, Dave, also of East Wenatchee; four grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Curtis and Austin Stanaway, all of East Wenatchee and one grandchild on the way.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Myron, in 1996.
A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 28, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in East Wenatchee with the Rev. Kel Groseclose officiating.
