Christian Perry died in October, 1886, in Missouri. He was of English extraction, having been born in Leicester in the year 1820, and passed his life as a farmer. When fourteen years of age he accompanied his parents to Germany, where he remained until 1842. He was graduated at the University of Heidelberg, and found his wife in Germany. When twenty-four years of age he came to this country, bought land in Benton county, Missouri, and passed the remainder of his life there. At the time of his death he was the owner of a valuable farm of two hundred acres. He was the father of twelve children, of whom eleven grew to maturity, and eight are now living.
